Description
A shirt and shorts in the same scarf-style print — pastel, a little baroque, the kind of pattern that looks like a holiday. Bought as a set it reads as an outfit you did not have to assemble, which in July is most of the appeal.
Fabric & feel
100% viscose, made in Italy by Nora&Olivia. Viscose is the right fibre for this: it runs cool, hangs away from the body rather than sticking to it, and holds a printed pattern with more depth than a synthetic of the same weight. Light, fluid, no stiffness in either piece.
Fit & sizing
The shirt is relaxed with short sleeves and a button front; the shorts sit at the natural waist and are cut loose through the leg. Both are generous rather than fitted, which is deliberate — a matching print works better with air between it and the body. Convert Italian sizing with the fit and sizing guide.
How to wear it
Photographed as the full set with flat sandals and a small bag, which is the intended look. Split it and the shirt goes over a swimsuit or with white denim, while the shorts take a plain tank in one of the print's colours. Keep jewellery minimal — the print is doing enough. More two-pieces on the sets rail.
Care
Delicate wash, cold, and wash the two pieces together so the print fades evenly. Viscose weakens when wet — lift rather than wring, then dry flat in the shade, since Florida sun will lift the colour out of a pastel quickly. No dryer. Press on low from the reverse or steam.
