Description
Palazzo trousers in a deep olive, cut wide from a high waist and long enough to sweep the floor. Olive is the useful green — it behaves like a neutral against cream, camel, white and black, which is not true of most greens at this saturation.
Fabric & feel
96% polyester, 4% elastane, made in Italy by Imperial. A smooth, matte cloth with a fluid drop; the small amount of elastane sits in the waistband's favour rather than making the leg clingy. It holds a pressed line and resists creasing across a day of sitting, which is the practical argument for a synthetic in a trouser this wide.
Fit & sizing
High-waisted and fitted through the waist, then full and straight from the hip to the floor. Because the leg is so wide, length matters more than usual — these are cut for a heel or a platform, and shortening them changes the proportion the design depends on. How to wear it
Photographed with a plain cream tank, which is the correct instinct: something close-fitting and quiet on top, all the volume below. Tuck it in and the waist stays visible. Olive also takes ivory knitwear, a white shirt, and black for evening. More on the bottoms rail.
Care
Delicate wash, cold, and hang from the waistband to dry so the leg pulls itself straight. No dryer. Press on low from the inside if you want a crease; steam otherwise. Polyester glazes under a hot iron, so keep a cloth between the plate and the cloth if you press the front.
