White Open-Front Mohair Cardigan

A long open-front cardigan in a white mohair-wool blend that gives the piece its soft halo. No buttons, no belt — just a clean draped silhouette that falls to mid-thigh. Fabric & feel

60% mohair, 40% wool blend from a Como mill. The mohair fibre gives the slight halo (fine fibres that stand off the surface) without going fluffy. Loose 7-gauge knit allows for breathability — substantial but not heavy.

Fit & sizing

Open-front, no closures. Hits at mid-thigh on a 5'7" model. Loose through the body with set-in shoulders. The mohair has slight stretch but no firm shape memory; size true-to-body, not oversized (it relaxes with wear).

How to wear it

The white tone pairs with absolutely everything but reads particularly well over cream, blush, and dove-grey. Wear over a slip dress for date night, over denim and a tank for daytime, over a black turtleneck for sharper contrast. Drapes well belted with a separate leather belt if you want shape.

Care

Dry clean for first wash to remove any factory finish. Subsequent washes: hand-wash cold with wool/mohair-safe detergent. Never wring. Roll in a towel to remove water, then lay flat on a fresh dry towel and reshape. Store folded with cedar; do not hang (shoulders distort).
