Black Sequin Top with Bow Back
Description
A black top covered in large sequins, with bows fastening down the back. The front is deliberately simple — round neck, short sleeves — so the whole event happens when you turn around.
Fabric & feel
Two layers, listed separately on the label: the outer is 100% polyester and the lining is 95% viscose with 5% elastane. Made in Italy by Joleen. That construction is the point — the viscose-elastane layer sits against the skin so nothing scratches, while the polyester carries the sequins. The sequins are large and flat rather than cupped, which is why the surface reads as panels of light instead of glitter.
Fit & sizing
Cut close but not tight, with short sleeves and a plain round neckline at the front. The back opens and fastens with a row of bows. Convert Italian sizing with the fit and sizing guide.
How to wear it
Photographed with wide burgundy trousers, which is a better instinct than black-on-black — one deep colour below stops the top reading as a costume. It also works with tailored black trousers for a gala, or tucked into a plain midi skirt. Wear your hair up; the bows are the reason to buy it. More on the tops rail.
Care
Hand wash, cold, per the label. Turn it inside out first and never wring — large sequins will crack against each other under pressure. Dry flat, away from sun. No dryer, no direct iron; steam from the reverse at a distance. Store folded rather than hung so the weight of the sequins does not stretch the shoulders.
