Light Summer Black Midi Dress

A semi-sheer black midi dress cut from a featherlight viscose chiffon. The relaxed cap sleeves, gathered yoke, and slim leather belt let the silhouette shape itself to the body — soft, elongated, and ready for a Sarasota patio in the cooler evening hours. Handpicked from a small Italian atelier this season.

Fabric & feel

Sheer viscose chiffon, approximately 60gsm, double-layered through the body for opacity. Polyester lining at the slip. The chiffon catches air rather than wind, so it falls without clinging. Beige split-leather belt with a brushed gold buckle is included.

Fit & sizing

Cut for a relaxed midi length, hitting between mid-calf and ankle on a 5'7" frame. Model wears the smaller of two available sizes. Pull-on construction (no zip) — sizing leans true with room. If between sizes, size down for a closer line through the bodice.

How to wear it

Black reads dressier than the silhouette suggests — pair with strappy heels and a neutral clutch for a dinner; ground it with leather slides and gold hoops for daytime. Belt removable for a softer, looser look. Layers well over a slip in cooler boutique fitting-room weather.

Care

Hand-wash in cold water, never above 30°C, with a mild detergent. Press gently inside a mesh laundry bag; do not wring. Hang to dry away from direct sun (sun fades black faster than colour). Iron on low through a cotton pressing cloth to revive the drape.
