Light Blue Short-Sleeve Knitted Jacket
A short-sleeve knitted jacket in light blue — buttoned, textured, and cut like a jacket rather than a cardigan, which is the difference that lets it work over a dress at a lunch. Its match is the wide-leg trouser in the same knit.
Fabric & feel
67% viscose, 33% polyamide, made in Italy by Barbara Alvisi. The blend is what makes a summer knit possible: viscose for coolness and drape, polyamide for the structure that holds a collar and a button placket upright. The knit has a subtle raised texture across the body, so the pale blue does not read flat.
Fit & sizing
Boxy through the body with short set-in sleeves and a button front, finishing at the hip. It is meant to skim rather than fit, so it layers over a tank or a fine top without pulling at the buttons. Convert Italian sizing with the fit and sizing guide.
How to wear it
Photographed with the matching light blue knitted trousers as a set, which is how it looks most deliberate. On its own it goes over white denim, a cream slip skirt, or navy trousers. Pale blue is one of the few colours that reads fresh rather than sweet at this saturation. More from the label on the Barbara Alvisi collection page.
Care
Delicate wash, cold. Dry flat and reshape the shoulders and placket while damp — hanging a wet knit jacket drops the shoulder line permanently. No dryer. Steam rather than press. Fold to store, buttoned, so the front keeps its line.
